On the video of the exhibited example of self-driving technology on the basis of Lincoln model, BB8, equipped with new NVIDIA DRIVE™ PX 2 chip with supercomputing capabilities in 24 trillion operations per second, it is seen as the car evades the road obstacles and educates itself fast. In particular, such self-learning piece has been demonstrated when a car hit the red road cone and hit the brakes. After the incident, it was able to avoid the collisions with the similar objects in the future, although it had dozens of them further, including very tight passage during the road works, and the dirt roads.
The car also was riding on the speedway and the other terrains, not only ones covered with asphalt. It had no troubles with the blind turns or sharp 90-degrees turns. It drove the entire route without human involvement.
Prior to that, the car ran on gravel road successfully and drove well with no road markup at all, without hitting any obstacle or passing-by cars.
